Safe Kids Litchfield County is part of
Safe Kids Connecticut and works to prevent childhood injury in Litchfield County. Safe Kids Litchfield County was founded in 2006 and is led by
Education Connection,
Northwestern Connecticut Community College and
Torrington Fire Department. We work with law enforcement, fire departments, EMS organizations, hospitals, educators, government agencies and volunteers to educate and protect families. Our mission is to provide education, programming and awareness about preventable injuries.
Safe Kids Litchfield County and its partners have distributed child safety materials and educational materials to raise awareness regarding this number one threat to children: unintentional injury. We cover a variety of issue including:
