CONCUSSION CARDS
Safe Kids Connecticut has partnered with its sister organization, Kohl's TweenSafe, to create concussion cards for tweens.  These Concussion Cards are giving tweens straightforward information on what a concussion is, signs of a concussion and prevention tips.

Also, now is a great time to learn more about how to keep kids safe when playing sports!

On May 17th, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced a voluntary recall of Safety First's Toilet and Cabinet Locks.

On May 16th, the CPSC announced a voluntary recall of Tots in Minds' crib tents and playyard tents.

On May 9th, the CPSC announced a voluntary recall of Kolcraft's Tender Vibes & Light Vibes bassinets

On May 9th, the CPSC announced a voluntary recall of Sportspower's BouncePro 14' Trampolines.  

On April 26th, the CPSC announced a voluntary recall of Target's Home Bunny Sippy Cups.

On April 5th, the CPSC announced a voluntary recall of Todson's Topeak Babyseat II Bicycle Carrier Seats

On March 30th, CPSC announced a voluntary recall of Happy Shirts Toy Truck Gifts with Purchase which were sold exclusively at Kohl's.

On March 22nd, CPSC announced a voluntary recall of Safety First's Push 'N Snap Cabinet Locks (model numbers 48391 and 48442).

On February 23rd, the CPSC announced a voluntary recall of Kelty's Single and Double Jogging Strollers.

On February 16th, the CPSC announced a voluntary recall of International Playthings LLC's Tumblekin Toys.

On February 3rd, the CPSC announced a voluntary recall of Bumbleride Indie and Indie Twin Strollers.

On January 27th, Britax announced a voluntary recall of its Chaperone Infant Car Seat.


On December 15, 2010 the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) agreed to ban the production and sale of drop-side cribs in the United States.  The ban went into effect in June 2011.
 

DID YOU KNOW CAR SEATS EXPIRE?
Car seats, like other consumer products, have an expiration date.  Look at the back or bottom of your car seat to find out when your car seat can no longer be used!
